Note: Please be aware of the following three important limitations of creating IMAP accounts with BlackBerry Internet Service. It is important to know that BlackBerry's implementation of implementation in non-standard.
1. Outbound emails are often sent directly from BlackBerry mail servers from your device. You are not asked for outgoing mail server settings during setup. This makes tracking of emails sent from your device nearly impossible to track and archive. Emails, however, are delivered through BlackBerry's own mail servers.
2. Only emails in your Inbox will be synced. BlackBerry's IMAP implementation does not let you subscribe to specific sub-folders.
3. You cannot set the Send/Receive settings for your email as BlackBerry servers decide on the Send/Receive schedule.
If you are fine with these limitations of BlackBerry's implementation of IMAP, feel free to use the following settings. While email setup may succeed on some devices, we recommend that you configure your account by logging into your BIS account on the Web. Its much quicker.
1. You must first create a Blackberry Internet Service Account that is tied to your Wireless Provider. Click on the link below and select your Wireless Provider to create your BIS account.

2. Once you’ve created your BIS account, login to your account and select Email Account in the top left. Following the instructions below to set up your BIS email account.

Click on the Click here link under Email Account to create your email account.
If you already have another BIS email account setup, the screen you see will look like the image below.

Click on Set Up Account to create your email account.

Type in your full email address for the account you’re trying to set up. Password is the password that you use to login to your online account.
Remember, your password is case-sensitive.
Click Next after you’ve entered the values.
In most cases, your account will be set up automatically. If it isn’t, you will see a screen as in Screen 3.

Select I will provide the settings to add this email account. Click Next. Move on to Screen 4.

Select This is my work email account. Click Next. Provide the settings in the next screen.

Enter the following values on the next screen that you see.
User name: Enter the full email address for the account that you are trying to set up.
Password: Enter the password that you use to login to your online account.
Email server: Enter imap.odmailbox.com
Email address: Enter the full email address for the account that you are trying to set up.
Click Next.
That’s all there is to it. You will receive an Email Activation message on your BlackBerry within 20 minutes of set up. Once you receive this message, you will be able to send and receive email using your custom email address on your BlackBerry.
If you’re still unsuccessful in setting up your email account using BIS, please verify the values you entered by trying again. If you think you’ve entered all the values properly and still can’t set up your email, please contact your support team.
