Copying Signature (Especially from Word)

When creating a signature for your email address, we recommend that you do so from scratch. We strongly recommend that you do not: (a) create a signature in Microsoft Word and then simply copy it or (b) copy a signature from Outlook. This is because Microsoft Word uses proprietary HTML tags that are "malicious" to implementations of standards-based applications. These tags break other proper HTML tags (sometimes but not always). You may have seen in other Web applications a separate "Copy from Word" that strips all Microsoft HTML tags.

In particular, if you have a signature that is copied from Word or Outlook, when you forward emails and you have a forwarding signature, the original email content is omitted by the malicious HTML tags and simply not included in the forwarded email. To avoid this problem in particular, we recommend that you create your signature from scratch inside your Workspace account.
